Previous Collections

Prior to the development of our upcoming collection, ELS created several conceptual capsule collections that established the foundation of the brand´s aesthetic and ethos. These collections introduced key silhouettes, material choices, and conceptual threads that continue to shape the studio´s direction.

Elements such as fabric experimentation, structural layering, and symbolic detailing have evolved from these earlier works, forming a clear line of continuity into the current collection. Presenting them together reveals the brand´s evolution - both in form and philosophy - and invites the viewer to trace the intentional development of Edie Lou Studio´s identity.

conscious void

This project (2024) represents an exploration of sustainable design and the future of ethical fashion.  The essence of this projects lies in redefining fashion through sustainability, innovation, and respect for our planet. The collection features key pieces - a bomber jacket, harnesses, and a clutch bag - all crafted from plant -based materials such as Pinatex© pineapple leather and cork leather.

  • At the heart of this project is an exploration of materials as much as form. Pinatex©, derived from pineapple leaf fibers, transforms agricultural waste into a durable, supple alternative to traditional leather, its matte texture lends itself to structured garments like the bomber jacket, where it offers both style and longevity. Cork leather, harvested sustainably from the bark of cork oat trees, complements this with a lighter, more flexible feel. As an eco-friendly material that regenerates without harming the tree, cork leather symbolizes nature´s resilience - a quality woven into the ethos of this collection. The bomber jacket, a standout piece, embraces the oversized silhouettes that dominate contemporary fashion. Designed with dropped shoulders and minimalist detailing, it pairs Pinatex© with cork paneling for a contemporary, tactile contrast.

The harness, sculptural yet functional, reinvents a utilitarian accessory as a piece of wearable art, layering seamlessly over garments to redefine their shape. Meanwhile, the clutch bag combines practicality with sustainability, boasting a sleek, waterresistant finish that blends effortlessly into everyday wardrobes. This project is about more than the garments themselves, it´s a manifesto for the future of fashion, where innovation and ethics converge. It embodies dignity, self-expression, and respect for the planet - a philosophy that challenges the industry to evolve. By transforming natural resources into high-quality design, the collection highlights the beauty of materials that are renewable, biodegradable, and cruelty-free. As we move into an era where sustainability is no longer optional, this project offers a compelling case for plant-based materials as the new standard in luxury fashion. It invites us to consider not just how we look, but how we live - and how the choices we make in our closets can reflect the dignity and care we strive for in every other part of our lives.

subtle strata

“Subtle Strata” by ELS (2024) offered a genuine and raw approach to contemporary fashion, celebrating minimalism with a touch of rebellion. The collection stood as a statement against excess, promoting luxury through thoughtful design and sustainable materials. Each piece felt like a reflection of the human experience - impermanent, evolving, and uniquely individual. The use of raw textures in loosely knitted sweaters invited tactile engagement, hinting at a process of deconstruction that mirrored personal growth and self-reinvention.

  • These garments, intentionally imperfect, spoke to the quiet strength found in vulnerability, expressing the complexity of our shared human condition - fragile yet resilient, fluid yet grounded. The collection´s design balanced contrasting elements, such as the flowing, oversized silhouettes of baggy jumpsuits paired with the crisp minimalism of organic cotton shirts. The generous proportions of the garments offered a sense of freedom, while the clean lines evoked a quiet refinement. The materials, from soft knits to structured cotton, spoke to the natural world - grounded, enduring, and full of quiet power. At the heart of “Subtle Strata” was a commitment to sustainability. The collection was crafted with organic cotton and natural fibers, which were chosen not only for their quality but for their ability to connect the wearer to the earth.

Each piece was designed with care, allowing the natural characteristics of the materials to guide the creation, resulting in garments that were both timeless and deeply respectful of the environment. The black-and-white palette was more than just a visual choice - it was a reflection of balance and harmony. Black, with its grounding presence, offered a sense of strength and endurance, while white evoked clarity, space, and new beginnings. Together, these colors spoke to the duality of the collection, where simplicity and complexity coexisted in perfect harmony.   “Subtle Strada” was an invitation to explore a wardrobe that reflected self-expression and a mindful connection to the natural world. I was involved in every step of the product development process, from crafting the design brief to developing the tech pack, ensuring that each detail aligned with the collection´s core values. The pieces featured on this page are a direct result of this hands-on approach, designed and created with intention to embody the refined simplicity and thoughtful craftsmanship at the heart of the collection.
