All information provided on this website, including product details, pricing, materials, and policies, is intended to inform customers clearly and transparently prior to purchase. By accessing this website and placing an order, customers agree to the terms and conditions set out herein. The studio reserves the right to update or amend these terms at any time, with the version in effect at the time of purchase being binding. These Terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland and applicable international laws.

Prohibited Use: You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or modify any content without prior written permission.
Enforcement: Unauthorised use of our intellectual property will result in legal action.
For licensing inquiries or permissions, please contact us at dna@edieloustudio.com.
4. Products and Services
A. Product Descriptions
All product descriptions, images, and specifications are provided for informational purposes and are intended to represent the garments as accurately as possible. Due to the made-to-order nature of production, the use of deadstock materials, and small-batch manufacturing processes, slight variations in texture, color, print placement, or construction may occur and do not constitute defects. Such variations are inherent to limited and personalized production and do not affect the quality or functionality of the garment.
B. Pricing and Availability
All prices are stated in the applicable currency and include any taxes required by Swiss law, unless otherwise indicated. Prices may change at any time; however, the price confirmed at the time an order is placed is binding. All garments are produced on a made-to-order basis and are subject to material availability. In the event that a required fabric or component becomes unavailable after an order has been confirmed, the customer will be informed promptly and offered an alternative solution or a refund for the affected item. Availability is therefore not guaranteed and is limited by the nature of small-scale and deadstock sourcing.
5. Orders and Payment
A. Placing Orders
By placing an order, you agree to provide accurate and complete information. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders at our discretion.
B. Payment
All prices are stated in Swiss Francs (CHF), unless otherwise indicated. Payment is required in full at the time an order is placed. Orders will not enter production until payment has been successfully received and confirmed. The studio accepts the payment methods displayed at checkout and reserves the right to refuse or cancel an order in the event of suspected fraud or payment irregularities. Ownership of the garment transfers to the customer only once full payment has been received. Transactions are processed securely.
C. Taxes and Duties
Prices are stated in Swiss Francs (CHF) and include Swiss value-added tax (VAT) where applicable. For orders shipped outside Switzerland, Swiss VAT may be excluded, and the customer is solely responsible for any applicable import duties, customs fees, local taxes, or additional charges imposed by the destination country. Such charges are not included in the purchase price or shipping costs and are the responsibility of the customer. The studio has no control over these charges and cannot predict their amount.
6. Shipping, Delivery, and Order Processing
A. Order Processing Time
We take great care in crafting and preparing your order to meet the high standards of Edie Lou Studio. However, all garments are produced on a made-to-order basis. Production begins only after an order has been placed and full payment has been received. Estimated production time is 4-6 weeks from the date of order confirmation. Once production is complete, the order will be prepared for shipment and a shipping confirmation will be sent to the customer. Delivery times are additional and depend on the shipping method and destination.
B. Shipping Costs
Shipping costs are included in the purchase price as part of the studio’s services, unless otherwise stated at checkout. This applies to standard shipping, including standard international shipping only. For any applicable customs duties, import taxes, or additional charges imposed by the destination country are not included and remain the responsibility of the customer.
C. Shipping Time
Shipping time varies based on location.
Domestic Orders (Switzerland): Estimated delivery within 3-7 business days.
European Orders: Estimated delivery within 5-10 business days.
International Orders: Estimated delivery within 7-14 business days, depending your location.
D. Expedited Shipping
Expedited shipping may be available upon request for an additional fee; however, expedited shipping affects delivery time only and does not shorten the made-to-order production time. Shipping times are estimates and may vary due to factors beyond the studio’s control, including customs processing or carrier delays.
E. Delays
While we strive to deliver your order within the specified time frame, unforeseen circumstances, such as customs delays or courier issues, may affect delivery. We will keep you informed and provide updates should any delays occur.
F. Returns
Eligibility for Returns
All garments are produced on a made-to-order basis and manufactured specifically for the customer after an order is placed. Made-to-order garments differ from ready-to-wear items held in stock. Each piece is produced individually after an order is placed, rather than selected from existing inventory. As a result, production begins only once a purchase is confirmed, and delivery times are longer than for ready-to-ship products. By placing an order, the customer acknowledges and accepts the made-to-order nature of the garment, including the associated production time and conditions outlined below.
Under Swiss contract law (Obligationenrecht), there is no general statutory right of withdrawal or return for online purchases of goods once a binding contract has been concluded, unless such a right is voluntarily granted by the seller. For this reason, orders cannot be cancelled, returned, or refunded once production has begun. Size exchanges may be considered on a case-by-case basis if requested within 48 hours of delivery and subject to availability.
Costum-made items, including those personalised with initials, names, or special modifications, are not eligible for return or exchange. As these items are specially created just for you, we are unable to accept returns unless they are defective or damaged due to a mistake on our part.
Exchanges
As all garments are produced on a made-to-order basis, exchanges are not guaranteed. Size exchanges may be considered on a case-by-case basis if requested in writing within 48 hours of delivery and subject to availability. Exchanged items must be unworn, unwashed, and returned in their original condition and packaging. Shipping costs associated with an exchange are borne by the customer. This exchange policy does not affect the customer’s statutory rights under Swiss law in the event of defects or non-conformity.
Refunds
As all garments are produced on a made-to-order basis and manufactured specifically for the customer, refunds are not offered once production has begun. Refunds are granted only in the event of a confirmed defect or if the garment does not correspond to the agreed specifications, in accordance with the customer’s statutory rights under Swill law. In such cases, the studio reserves the right to repair or replace the garment before issuing a refund, as permitted by law.
Damaged or Defective Items
If a garment arrives damaged or is found to be defective, the customer must notify the studio in writing within 5 days of delivery, including a description and, where possible, photographic documentation. In accordance with Swiss law, the studio will assess the issue and, where applicable, offer repair or replacement before considering a refund. Normal variations inherent to made-to-order production and hand-finished garments do not constitute defects.
International Returns
For international orders, the same made-to-order conditions apply. Garments are produced specifically for the customer and are therefore not eligible for return or refund once production has begun. Any voluntary exchange or remedy in the event of defects will be handled in accordance with these Terms and applicable Swiss law. All shipping costs custom duties, taxes, and return shipping expenses for international orders are the responsibility of the customer and are non-refundable.
Promotions and Discounts
At Edie Lou Studio, we take pride in offering a carefully curated collection of unique and valuable pieces. To maintain the integrity and quality of our creations, we do not participate in traditional sales or discount promotions. Each item is designed with ensuring its lasting appeal and exceptional value.
Refund Processing
In the event of a confirmed defect or material non-conformity, the studio will assess the issue in accordance with Swiss law. Where appropriate, the studio reserves the right to first offer repair or replacement of the garment before considering a refund. Refunds, where granted, will be processed using the original method of payment once the returned item has been received and inspected. Processing times may vary depending on the nature of the issue and the production requirements. No refunds are issued for preference-based reasons, including fit, size choice, or change of mind.
